About the Author

Ruth Wan-Lau has worked in public communications and as a writer and editor of children's books for 15 years. A lover of books and all things wordy, Ruth taught her two sons and her daughter to read fluently by age four. She began to write her own Readers because she was unable to find good material that could excite children about exploring Singapore while getting them to enjoy reading at the same time.

Ruth is an alumnus of Methodist Girls#39; Primary School, Raffles Girls#39; Secondary School, Raffles Junior College and Northwestern University in Illinois, USA. She enjoys cooking for her forever-starving children and attempting to get them to pose nicely for pictures.

Eliz Ong studied Visual Communication at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, majoring in illustration. She is always doodling and loves to draw nature and birds. She is currently a freelance illustrator and designer, and has one son.
